What are the fees?
My fee for both supervision and counselling is £50 an hour and is payable by cash or cheque at the session or by bank transfer payment.
Discounted rates are available. I offer an initial free half hour session so we can get to know each other and ensure counselling is right for you at this time, or that we will be able to work together in supervision.
Why does it cost that amount?
The fee covers the cost of my on-going professional development, the supervision I receive, the insurance premiums I have to pay, my professional membership fees – all of which are in place to ensure my work is of a high standard and to keep you safe.
How long does it take?
Counselling sessions last an hour. Usually, counselling takes several sessions so we will regularly review our work together to ensure you are getting what you need from it.
Where do the sessions take place? I am based in a quiet location in a village near Carlisle, but currently all sessions take place either online or by telephone. Hopefully, face-to-face sessions will resume in the second half of 2021. Please email me here for details
How do I get referred? Generally, people refer themselves independently, often on the personal recommendation of a friend or colleague. In addition, I receive referrals from local GPs and other healthcare professionals.
